New Yorker and I are hanging out in Manhattan - we are doing an unspecified "project". :-)
We are somewhere in Central Park now.

I'm quite liberal. What two blokes get up to in a park is up to them.
But to post it on a board where CHILDREN could be reading... Shame on you.

I'm thinking NY is most likely the giver and PK the receiver.

How predictable that Leftists think meeting another person in public necessarily entails you having sex with them. I construe that this is their modus operandi, and they have had much practice!

Ask New Yorker where the hell has he gone. I tried talking NY into coming back. I doubt that he will. He's unhappy with his video links being censored while leftists can post anything they like to support their viewpoints. I pointed out to him that Foxy no longer manages this board from day to day, and it's effectively free for all (just look at the gang-up personal attacks on me). I think NY is too busy these days. I hesitate to say I don't post much either - look at my counter. You're only ever debating with the same people, and you're not going to convert anyone to your views. NY has moved on.

I agree with you pk. The board isn't what it used to be. I hope you had a fruitful meeting with New Yorker. It's a shame he's gone now, but ho hum. The country isn't what it used to be either, so much bad manners now.

The board isn't what it used to be - I totally agree.
That MSN finally killed off groups is probably the last nail in the coffin. Previously, you had new members joining regularly because they discovered the group by chance through the MSN listings. Now, as a small, standalone, independent group in a big online world, nobody is ever going to find us.
Even before this, message boards were on the decline years ago. There hasn't been many sensational news topics that get people flooding to message boards. The "fun" period was in the two or three years after 9/11 when there was plenty of interesting material to talk about, a diverse group of folks who were mostly reasonable, and message boards were stil relatively "novel". Now, you are left with the rantings and ravings of lunatics like la la, Bertrus, Tarrant, grizzley and other nutters. For the record, there are many lefties I respect, who I can actually hold a civil conversation with: Amazed, VHW, Vania, Fat Andy, etc, come to mind.
And then, there is the non-trivial matter that there are better ways to express your ideas to a wider audience through YouTube, Digg, and other places. Here, you're just talking to the same people. It gets old. And it's a complete waste of time.

Hey PK and NY, I hope you followed my instructions to the letter on that ANFO mix before you set off to that mosque! That Nitromethane is very unstable >

This is - unintentionally - hilarious. I remember a time when PK described me as being a moderate, comapratively sane leftie, whereas the likes of Vox and Amazed were deemd to be the insane extremists. I don't think I've changed, particularly, which shows how deluded and inconsistent PK is.
