And that is a question you should ask one of your friends in Hamas.

And if your point stands, then it equally applies to any armed conflict. I don't agree with you that anything goes in armed conflict. That logic would mean you approved of German bombing of Britain and any and all deaths, injuries and destruction that occurred.

I didn't say anything goes in armed conflict Bertrus. I was responding to your lament that children shouldn;t have to suffer for the voting preferences of their parents. No, in an ideal world they shouldn't. But it's a sad and unavoidable fact of life that they will.

that children shouldn;t have to suffer for the voting preferences of their parents. No, in an ideal world they shouldn't. But it's a sad and unavoidable fact of life that they will. So, disembowelling, burning to death, blowing to fragments, amputation, wounds, mental anguish and grief are merely the punishment Israel metes out to Palestinians for voting against the corruption, incompetence and ineffectiveness of the Fatah government. No problem there, then. But if that's what happens to the children, shouldn't something even worse happen to the parents who actually cast the vote? And then, isn't it very unfair that Fatah supporters and their children should suffer the same fate? This apology for mass murder works both ways and ' it's a sad and unavoidable fact of life , according to your logic, that Israeli children suffer for the voting preferences of their parents.

No not the punishment Israel metes out to Palestinians for voting for Hamas. If that were the case they'd have done it immediately against all Palestinians (both in the West Bank and Gaza) the minute they voted Hamas in.
No, it's more the consequence of supporting a party known to be unremittingly devoted to a path of violence and the total destruction of Israel.
