One morning, (it might have been in autumn, — it was certainly before the snow) two, or three, or possibly even four gentlemen went for a walk down and along a path which led them not straight through, but around in a direction that would follow a circular, crescent-shaped arc that would then traverse clear to the other side, not in a direct straight line, but curving northward into the crisp, nearly autumn-frosted forest. The men each stepped in step, each guiding the others, who, looking this way and that, up and around, gazed at the branches and leaves and colors, then down and earthward again at the cool mist which seemingly floated just above ground level, up-winding around their moving boots, …the mist parting at the sounds of their footsteps, which added to the other noises and sounds they heard on such a morning, the start of another day. As many leaves on the ground as were still clinging on branches, much of the forest canopy was also floating, falling downward. One by one each leaf dropped in its turn, adding to the blanket of multi-colored contours awaiting the chilling winds and grey clouds which would bring the snow for the winter season. Layer upon layer the forest floor rose 'till all that was seen was the sticks that are trunks, their poking lines vertical signs of the trees for next year's leaves. Hiking the path the men recalled, each in their turn, each to each other, the fine fishing they had done during the summer season last, sometimes by themselves, but oft in pairs of two's or three's or even all four, — as a group they fished and caught, and then took back to camp a stringerfull or two of Sunfish and Pumpkinseed, of Smallmouth Bass and Pike. The day's catch they cleaned and washed and ate by twilight campfire light. Afterwards relaxing, they passing the flask and then leaning back, watched the stars. They recalled such times as they walked along, down the path, through the woods, before the snow.

RAVENS
Birds of a feather, Three crows perch together Three crows All lined up in a row.
Gathering, gizzarding, Kernels plucked stealthily From stalks still clutching Their cobs.
Birds they are three, Joyed in their partaking -- All three smacking, Grinning their gobs.

Black is the night When nocturnal winds howl Spreading taught shutters part,
And all the little roses Tucked in their beds Hear middlenight noises soft, sweet,
‘Till glistening morning fills Fresh red cherry groves blossoming spring, Newly seen through now-opened vistas.
Scents glistening, dripping white Shining blossom’s nectar once poured, Pheromones delightfully airborne.

HEAVEN'S VALENTINE
I could give Morgan a winning Smile and the cutest nose, But she already has both those.
Maybe I could instead, Strands and strands Of golden flowing mane... (just as I gave to the Princess so many years long past), But then I looked and beheld....
Turning again, I thought to Self, How about a pleasantness of being, And that certain ease of kind. Hmm...both of those already in place, mind.
I know!
I'll grant for her a calm and abiding place, A place of Goodness and a place of Grace- Heaven's Home, for a One-of-a-kind Valentine!
-God

Back in the childhood days - well before all this PC cr#p - we would go out on the very night of the 31st, always after dark, and with brownpaper grocerybags in hand, go door to door collecting for several hours. Then when we finished working the neighborhood, we'd go to a neighbor friend's house, spread out the candies out onto the living room floor, and set about dividing the candy into three piles - the first pile was the good stuff (the ones you ate straightoff), the second pile was the ones which you would eat later (maybe the next day), and finally, the third pile was the junk candy - the kind you saved and ate when you didn't have anything better.

I currently use the computers at Marquette University here in Milwaukee, but sometimes lately when I click on both of Morgan's Facebook pages, it bounces me back to my own homepage. I haven't been able to go to her pages consistantly. I also haven't been checking my own pages lately, either. But God bless Morgan!

A real life incident in my own life... The Slenderman incident hits close to home with me (other than its close proximity to Milwaukee - my place of residence), because of a similar incident which happened to me when I was four years old. At that time, I was living still in Milwaukee, in a home basically in the center of town, and out one afternoon riding my tricycle next to my front/side yard west of the house. Running up to me, wielding a knife, were three of my neighborhood friends, each about four or five years old. They ran up behind me, and with the knife, stabbed me in the back. Somehow they got ahold of their father's garden knife and were roaming the area. The knife wound itself wasn't too deep (the blade must have been rather dull, lucky for me), so I wasn't too injured, but it upset my mother so badly that a few days later she miscarried my yet unborn baby brother - thus causing his death. My mother forgave those kids, no police were involved ( their father "attended to the matter" with these kids) and life just got back to normal. That's just how we did things back then - didn't make a big deal out of everything. So when Morgan Geyser (one of the Slendergirls) got involved in this same type of incident, and I saw how horrible she was being treated by everyone, well, I couldn't just stand by and not try to help her. God bless Morgan!

Even though enslaved, Uncle Tom lived an excellent Christian life, and is an excellent example to all in living out the Gospel; but Southern pastors, ever on the side of Plantation owners, approved the practice of slavery,- obtaining most of their affirming verses from the Old Testament, and several from the New. The only openly anti-slavery verse that I know of in the Bible is a warning to "slave traders" written by the Apostle Paul; he also said that if you were a slave, not to let it bother you, but if you can gain your freedom legally, to do so. A literal reading of the Bible doesn't forbid the practice of slavery, but it does, in the spirit of the Golden Rule, warn against mis-treatment (and also, if everyone then practiced the Golden Rule, there wouldn't have been slaves, but that wasn't a reality). In the present day, America is past the practice of slavery, thanks be to God and also a special tribute of thanks to the Northern states who fought the Civil war for slaves' freedom; Africans owe a great deal of thanks (not to mention heart-felt gratitude and respect) to the Northern men and women who sacrificed so much on their behalf.

Morgan's court trial is scheduled to begin this October - 2017. It will be a difficult time for her because the trial is being held in the city where this incident occurred. Everyone there is very mad at her, and she probably won't receive a fair trial with so many hateful people surrounding her. Please pray for her - she's a good person in her true self. Thanks Results update!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUlmlOPIAmg

Great fleas have little fleas upon their backs to bite 'em, And little fleas have lesser fleas, and so ad infinitum. And the great fleas themselves, in turn, have greater fleas to go on; While these again have greater still, and greater still, and so on.

On this date in 1967, John took delivery of his psychedelicized Rolls-Royce.
He'd bought the matte black Phantom V for about £11,000 (currently $240,000) back in 1965. One of only 514 that were ever manufactured, this exclusive car was owned by royalty (Queen Elizabeth II) and rock royalty (Elvis Presley). John's had black leather upholstery, a writing table, record player, phone, TV, cocktail cabinet, refrigerator - and, by the start of 1966 - a back seat that could be converted into a bed, tinted windows and a horn that played the first line of 'Lili Marlene'. LSD had now entered the picture and, when the car's paintwork was damaged in the sandy surroundings of Almeria, Spain during the filming of 'How I Won the War', John decided to spice things up.
It's been suggested the inspiration came from Marijke Koger of Dutch design collective The Fool; she'd paint John's piano that summer after he commissioned her to refurbish an 1874 gypsy caravan as a present for Julian. However, Lennon chauffeur Les Anthony would recall Ringo saying the Rolls should be adorned with the colourful patterns they all saw when passing a fairground one day in early 1967. Either way, after John visited private coach maker J.P. Fallon in Chertsey, Surrey on 8th April, his car was spray-painted yellow.
Local artist Steve Weaver then added the red, orange, green and blue floral patterns and art nouveau swirls - as well as JL's astrological Libra symbol on the roof. The job cost £290 and the result was a 'Summer of Love' vehicle for one lousy driver.
While he'd also acquire a white Phantom V, John would have the psychedelic model shipped to America when he moved there - and donate it to the Cooper-Hewitt Museum at Washington's Smithsonian Institution in 1977. Sold for $2.29 million to Canadian businessman Jim Pattison in 1985, it was displayed at Expo '86 in Vancouver and, the following year, donated to the Royal British Columbia Museum.
At least all that effort didn't go to waste - as happened with the Apple boutique mural.
