BHS executives describe Dominic Chappell as 'a liar'
The former owner of BHS, Dominic Chappell, has been accused of being "a liar" who had his "fingers in the till" by top BHS managers.
The claims were made to MPs at a hearing into the collapse of the firm.
In a scathing attack, the ex-chief executive of BHS, Darren Topp, alleged Mr Chappell threatened to kill him during a row over company money.
Mr Chappell described that claim as "absolute rubbish" in a comment to a reporter after he had given evidence.
Mr Chappell, whose Retail Acquisitions bought BHS for £1 last year, defended his recovery plan for BHS, saying it had been "credible and viable".
It's utterly fascinating all of this and quite revolting.
In a nutshell the gist of it is this:
Fat greedy cnut bleeds a company dry and fails to fund the pension. Fat greedy cnut realises he's going to be on the hook for £500million of pension deficit. Fat greedy cnut sells it to greedy useless clown with a history of failure for £1.00 on the basis that the greedy useless clown will f*ck up again, the company will go bust and the liabilities will then fall to the pension protection fund.True to form Greedy Useless Clown buries his nose in the trough and steers the thing onto the rocks.
Clearly just my delusions and not fact because a peer of the realm would never do that, and clearly when The CEO of BHS says of said patsy "I think I was duped. I think the technical term is a mythomaniac. The lay person's term is he was a premier league liar and a Sunday pub league retailer. At best." he must be deluded because to quote Robert Peston, "the greatest retailer of his generation" would never sell a business he cared for to a mythomaniac.
Add to that the Patsy apparently threatening to kill the CEO if he mentioned the £1.5 million he'd syphoned off days before the receivers were called in and Mike Ashley (who was up before the commons for being a fat greedy c*nt and ripping off his employees at sports direct) being touted as a white angel for BHS and it's a thriller and no mistake.
Assumably Phillip Green should be up before the committee shortly. That should be worth a watch.
