When the site moved from MSN News there was some enthusiasm from the site owner for a while and new 'Mod' faces appeared but that has since long faded. We have lists below categories proclaiming moderators like 'Ian', 'Omega' and the owner 'Foxy' - hollow proclamations, never been seen.
Move over and let others take the strain.

Thanks Brittles for your post. Sometimes people have to prioritise things outside the forum and perhaps can't pop in as much as they did. Speaking personally, i lost my father in February (but was around every day before that), and then with extreme family problems afterwards have not been able to pop in as i did. I know Foxy and all the mods try their best, but with full-time jobs, families, problems creeping in here and there, these things have to take priority. However there are usually one or two mods around - it isn't easy being a mod of a debate forum, very tough in fact. It can be quite stressful at times. We all try our best i am sure. We hope you continue to enjoy News General and we appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

Yes , Foxy threw her weight around , deleting New Yorkers harmless link , causing him to leave then she left herself. Too bad she didn't disappear before New Yorker. The board would be a better place.

I too miss 'New Yorker' .......... but you can't blame Foxy. She made a decision as a moderator and NY decided to up sticks and leave. It was HIS decision. He could've stayed and carried on posting - but instead he threw a hissy fit and left.

Much as I disagreed with NY on most things [though he was a wind up merchant and I aint convinced he believed everything he posted!] I think this place is poorer without him.

I would really like to know what relationship there is between these boards and other sites like foxyf1.com. This site is referenced on every page refresh and is for sale (along with three or so other "foxy" sites).
Is this a money making vehicle?
Are there other boards around?
