Dunno. I heard there's nothing actionable. That's a shame for all of us.

I don't think there's anything directly actionable yet, but it's absolutely utterly compelling that Trump obstructed justice and lied repeatedly. And all of this was done to try and prevent investigations into Russia.
The question of why Trump was so desperate to have the Russia investigations blocked is still open, but it's obvious that he was.

lots more to come out in secret session.
Though to those who expect Trump to be impeached, its not gonna happen any time soon, the GOP is no longer a party they puts the welfare of the country first, though I expect they are looking at 2018 and making the calculation about keeping or ditching him, if they think they are going to loose the house (very hard given the gerrymander and voter suppression in GOP states) and senate (more possible) they might start liking the idea of President Pence more than a Trump one, as Trump is already fast becoming a lame duck after less than half a year.

And all of this was done to try and prevent investigations into Russia. The question of why Trump was so desperate to have the Russia investigations blocked is still open, but it's obvious that he was. I don't think this is accurate, it is clear Trump wanted the pressure on Flynn lifted but Comey made it clear he was not obstructing the Russia investigation adding that if others were being investigated Trump made it known to him that it was in everyone's interest for that to come out. Not that I believe Trump meant that for a minute but that's what Comey was clear about. What I was surprised not to hear is the very act of asking Comey to "let go" of whatever was going on with Flynn did not in and of itself alert Comey at least tangentially to the possibility of Trump's involvement. This would have covered Comey as to why this was not mentioned when he last testified, it would have then been an ongoing investigation that he could not comment on. & Feck McStrangelove was an arse, the Clinton investigation, which did not involve any suggestion of collusion with Russia, was finished whilst the investigation of Russia's involvement including the possibility of collusion with the Trump campaign was still ongoing. McStrangelove was being deliberately obtuse. We are no closer to impeachment after this hearing.

Oh the GOP would love the demure Pence, they could do all they want without the liability that Trump is. However if that follows an impeachment I'm not sure Pence's innocence of collusion would survive, I can't believe he didn't know exactly what Flynn said to Kislyak and there are subsequent denials he's made that do not ring true. It's like Sgt Schultz "I know nothhhiiiiing" despite knowing everything. That means President Paul Ryan, feck there is no good outcome for the future.

We're never going to have an impeachment, as Voice says. At least not until 2019 at the earliest. The only way we'd get rid of Trump before then is from a RNC putsch if they're too scared of Trump dragging them down. And that's unlikely because Trump voters are largely still backing him.
This is more Iran-Contra than Watergate. Astonishingly corrupt, but it may not have any actual long-term impact.

Pence is terrifying, at least Trumps incompetence stops him doing a great deal, Pence is a religious extremest, the joke is that he chose Pence as a guarantee against assassination. The GOP won't dump Trump until his base does.

His base will dump him when either they lose healthcare or cannot afford the inflated premiums which is about all he's actually done that directly affects them.

Not totally disillusioned though, it's Flynn that will bury Trump one way or the other.

Flynn is already pleading the 5th, and as Flynn and Trump have said many many times, you only plead the 5th if you're guilty as sin.

Which will likely seal Flynn's conviction but it's what he'll be charged with that will damage Trump because then we're in obstructing justice territory, the same territory that did for Nixon & Clinton. & of course there will be other evidence yet to come out at the trial.

still need the GOP dominated house to act, and there's no prospect they will.

still need the GOP dominated house to act, and there's no prospect they will. Depends, if Flynn worked against US policy (Obamas) whilst Trump was President Elect that's basically treason & no one could deny that's "high crimes" (he he) . Either Trump knew & therefor colluded in treason or he definitely obstructed the investigation of it. I suspect Trump ordered Flynn to tell the Russians not to tit for tat retaliate to the expulsions as he would "fix" it. Trump has no qualms about throwing anyone under the bus to save himself & as one CNN commentator put it "be careful who you hire but be careful who you fire, Flynn knows where the bodies are". So too I suspect does Sessions also facing firing. The GOP will be on board if the "high crimes" are that serious but otherwise yes we will have to wait for the mid terms to go the right way. Of course an innocent Trump could squash 90% of all suspicions by releasing his tax returns. & there's always the possibility of Trump incriminating himself during an unusually difficult morning dump.

They might use Flynn much as they used Oliver North, as a patsy to take the heat in the hope throwing him to the lions will be enough.

Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron said Mr Trump was "clearly terrified of the British public". He added: "He knows that the British people find his politics appalling and that they won't be scared to make their views known. "Theresa May should be embarrassed that she was so quick to offer Trump a state visit. Now neither of them want to be seen with the other." LINK
