its an extreme form on whataboutery, Hannity on Faux news does it nightly, the conspiracy theories he's invented are the ultimate 'squirrel'. Though to be fair its all about the wider effort by the reps to discredit the Mueller investigation to such a degree Trump can either shut it down or simply tell em its all 'fake news' or a 'which hunt' and then simply pardon everyone including himself and tell Mueller and the justice department to take a flying fcuk.  |

Nah. Clinton's pardons are a squirrel.
Firstly, that was 5 presidents and nearly 2 decades ago. Secondly, whatever Clinton did is irrelevant to whether Trump is evil, corrupt or idiotic.
But even at face value Clinton's pardons were merely used to help his corrupt friends. They were not promised in advance to deliberately stop people testifying; and weren't used as a cynical tool to deliberately undermine investigations into the President. I think, also, they came at the very end of the Presidency, after 8 years. Not bandied around after 12 months.

nah, its a deflection in the true sense of the word, the right's only defense in the US is whataboutery, stops them having to think for one minuet about the lies, immorality and corruption in the present administration, non of which are addressed by constantly saying 'look a Clinton shaped squirrel'
