you would have to ask the democrats that, I don't have a clue,, There were a few people who fell through the cracks, unstead of helping them the democrats chose to screw everyone, there are still people without health care Why would I have to ask the Democrats? You made the claim not then.

Obama care is totally junk, thanks to Obama the USA now has the worst health care system in the world, IF you were uninsured, and have a major covered illness you might be better off with it, all the rest of America is screwed, if you remember even Hillary claimed it needed fixing Oh you really believe that in the short time Obama was in power US healthcare went from best to worst? Really? for the first time in my life I can no longer go to the hospital or doctor I chose

Obamacare was less than ideal, but it did insure people.
Allowing the insurers and drug companies to continue to scam and gouge the consumer won't go away until we have single payer, something every other 1st world country has but us. That must be what the GOP means by American Exceptionalism.

Gonna take a huge leap for the US get that though Marshall, even then once you did had it and costs tumble the GOP will still spend years attacking it and undermining it much as the tories do in the UK, everything should be for profit in their mind.

Yeah, they're fecking crooks. Single payer is getting a lot of momentum now though. California is trying to initiate it on their own even though some top Dems like Feinstein (aka Minnie Mouse) is against it because they're profiting from the current mess.
The US spends 17% of its GDP on healthcare. It's a very lucrative scam.

It's worth remembering, of course, that everyone over 65 in the US already has a single-payer system that works fine.

Yeah, no cries of socialism over that. Just expand that program. It's not like the government is going to build their own hospitals and hire their own doctors. It's mostly just bookkeeping for christ sakes.

yep, but a lot of hospitals may not sign on as its gonna be much harder to gouge if the government is looking at the bill, I mean a bag of IV saline costs us about $10 here(bulk buying and all that), but a typical bill from a US hospital stay will have that bag listed as $600.

Another win, he's managed to fire the bloke heading the investigation into the Trump Russia collusion, ironic he used how poor Comey handled the presentation releases about Clinton email as his excuse.

I'm loving this. He keeps shooting himself in the foot. Coverup? First step towards impeachment? Grab your popcorn we're in for some more drama. Why now though, was the FBI getting too close? Trump kept saying Comey was doing a good job on investigating Hillary Clinto, now suddenly he's changed his mind.

Sacked on the advise ofthe Attorney General Sessions who had previously recused himself from the Russia investigation. Very desparate stuff.

In dramatically casting aside James B. Comey, President Trump fired the man who may have helped make him president — and the man who potentially most threatened the future of his presidency. Not since Watergate has a president dismissed the person leading an investigation bearing on him, and Mr. Trump’s decision late Tuesday afternoon drew instant comparisons to the “Saturday Night Massacre” in October 1973, when President Richard M. Nixon ordered the firing of Archibald Cox, the special prosecutor looking into the so-called third-rate burglary that would eventually bring Nixon down. LINK

If Comey has found out anything damaging about Trumo and Russia, it would seem a dangerous tactic to f**k him off, particularly in such a humiliating manner.

The whole thing is very strange. Comey actually did need to be sacked - over his thoroughly partial release of information from the Clinton investigation (without revealing anything about the Trump investigation)*. But, at the same time, sacking someone who is investigating you looks incredibly corrupt, tin-pot dictator-ish. It's the kind of thing you'd see from a Mugabe, or from some El Presidente of a Central American banana republic in the 70s.
It's a mess all right. But there's definitely a feeling - even among Republicans - that this is getting close to the line for Trump.
The most Trump thing about the sacking is the line in the letter saying "I'm glad you've told me three times that I am not under investigation". There's no reason for it to be in any dismissal letter, yet Trump obviously had some desperately needy thing trying to add some extra spin about himself. Which makes the sacking suddenly look more about Trump and less about Clinton and therefore raises all the red flags he's trying to subdue.
* - People now seem to widely accept that Comey basically thought Clinton was going to win, but that there would be a Republican congress. Therefore he thought that he had to release any info about Clinton in the interests of "Transparency" so that when Congress inevitably investigated absolutely everything about the election there'd be no thought that he concealed anything regarding the winning candidate. He also withheld the Trump story for the same reason. Basically, he was covering his arse from political witchhunts, but he pre-guessed the result of the election and didn't realise he might influence it. Which is desperately unprofessional for a law enforcement guy.
