In the vast majority of vegans in the west it’s adherents tend to the extreme and as we know extreme thought can lead to bad outcomes mentally. Lump that on top of this woman being extreme even for a vegan it’s fair bet her anotexia and her extreme vegan diet can’t really be separated

Well again you fail to get there are differences, first off Hindus are not vegan, outside some of the more esoteric sects, they are vegetarian, often eat honey, eggs cheese and so on. While historically Buddhists extoled a form of veganism, it was no where near as extreme as the Western version.

There are definitely Hindus who are vegan. Many Indians who are which is why many restaurants will cater to vegetarian and vegan attendees.

It’s not different you just hold prejudices regarding “vegans in the west” with claims you have, for the record, completely failed to substantiate.

I wasn’t the one making this about veganism was I? Rick called her a vegan.

I said this was about a clear case of anorexia and nothing to do with veganism.

Her anorexia and mental health issues drove her eating choices. This is a grown adult woman who slowly starved herself to death. That’s not merely an accident of a trendy diet. Nor was she under coercion. It’s not like a child whose parents were stupid.

She is no different to all the other young women whose eating disorders kill them. People are making this a special deal because of the words “raw food” and “vegan.”

you asked for links and proof, I gave it to you, not my fault you refuse to accept it. It however remains a thing, western vegans are not comparable to Hindu vegetarians, and yes I know a few ascetics are vegans over there, I already said this, but again not the same form of extreme diet this woman killed herself with. I never said her veganism was the main cause of her death, but her mental health issues and her extreme diet and her views on food can not in any meaningful way be separated.
