Scotland: protecting democracy since 1707. Just ask Georgie Soros for some more money & their lawyers will keep spending it..

Much to be cheerful about this morning my fellow Brexit brethren: 1. Boris can prorogue parliament. 2. Brexit Lords have tabled 86 amendments meaning that this surrender bill could get talked out. 3. Even if it passes, many legal experts have concluded that (because it remove PM's prerogative), it requires Queen's assent - which can be denied by government, meaning bill is held up then binned once parliament closes. 4. Twenty one traitors have been flushed out of the Tory Party by Cumming's Brexit disinfectant.

All irrelevant for a gummint without a majority. If it gets filibustered or denied, expect a vote of No Confidence.

Wrong. If they can't get it through the Lords.

Oh, Christian Calgie - wasn't he the one suspended for spreading (false rumours of) hepatitis? Yep, reliable sort of chap.

Bozo could down in history as one of the shortest serving PMs and one who lost every single vote in the commons. Not a bad achievement for one who grifted for the job for so long.

And there it is, the commons have spoken and Bozo looses again, his only hope now is the unelected HOL can filibuster enough to stop the will of the elected chamber.

So the Commons doesn’t follow through on “the will of the people”. The Lords talks out the will of the Commons. The new, albeit unelected, PM can’t win a vote. The judiciary won’t intervene in due political process, and rightly so.
And yet England is the Mother of Parliaments. Apparently.

I see that Oxbridge Debating Society are still playing procedural games in the House of Lords because that's all they're capable of. They don't have any interest in governing, they don't know how to govern. They're still stuck somewhere between the Eton Common Room and the Oxford Union, which is the furthest they ever evolved. It's all "How do I game the debate", not "How do I make life better for the people I'm supposed to be governing".

It looks like there's more procedural teenage debate-soc shenanigans from the government, as they refused to provide tellers for the Kinnock amendment and therefore the Kinnock amendment passed. They really are just snotty teenagers too convinced of their own intelligence.

John Bercow's yer man for juvenile procedural guff. I look forward to seeing his tarred and feathered cadaver gibbeted at Traitors' Gate. Along with that fat jazz ponce Clarke.

Worthwhile remembering also how wafer thin Labour's commitment to stopping abuse in the workplace really is with their continued support of of Bercow.
