My sister is an Anti-Vaxination person. Last year her 14 year old daughter got whooping cough, then passed it onto my sister. So now my sister is a Pro-Vaxination person at age 52, and is catching her and her children up with their needles.

well that's a good outcome, sadly all too many in the AV cult would be turning to mums groups to get 'natural' (sic) remedies to treat the pertussis, saw a funny (not in a good way) blog by a 'woke' AV mum who documented the 6 or 8 months her kid suffered through pertussis and the lunatic things she did the 'treat' him, then after 6 or 8 months she declares him cured (forgetting or probably not realizing it takes on average 6 to 8 months for pertussis to tun its course naturally) It was not a nice read as she described the poor child coshing till it three up, coughing till it nearly passed out, having a raw throat for months on end, to me it was study in child abuse.

I'm pretty sure Rick never reads past the screaming headline on the 'perpetually outraged' sites he frequents, and he certainly is not interested in nuance, fact or reality.
Abusive parent gets told to stop being abusive or face consequences, can't see the issue really, the courts and society have an obligation to protect the children of abusive parents from further harm.
