"AJ Calloway, the long-time co-host of US TV show Extra, has left the role after facing multiple allegations of sexual assault. Calloway appeared on the showbiz news show for 14 years until Warner Bros Television suspended him in February. When the allegations emerged, Calloway's lawyer said he "vehemently denies that he ever assaulted anyone'." www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-49190385

Another smollett? "The Guardian columnist and activist Owen Jones has been physically assaulted in London while celebrating his 34th birthday with friends. In an attack he said was “a blatant premeditated assault”, Jones said he was kicked, punched and thrown to the ground by a group of men in the early hours of Saturday morning. On Twitter, Jones wrote: “Six of us left the pub at 3am and were saying our goodbyes 30 metres away, then a group of three to four men left the pub, made a beeline for me, kicked me in the back, threw me on the ground, slamming my head, and kicked me in the skull. My friends were punched trying to defend me." www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/aug/17/guardian-columnist-owen-jones-attack-pub-london

That second clip showing the police entering the actors flat, and the part just before, didn't look like a serious assault happened at all, besides, I would have called for an ambulance first, and then I assume the police would automatically would follow.

"Dekyrion Ellis, who is in ninth-grade, said that he was lifted off the floor by a support resource officer at his high school after he had been involved in an altercation with a classmate. Jake Perry, an officer at Camden High School in Arkansas, is under investigation for use of excessive force and has been placed on leave. Police chief Boyd Woody said in a statement: "I will not tolerate misconduct from my officers and this matter will be dealt with accordingly and I will be transparent in doing so". The use of chokeholds has been banned by many US police forces. Last summer, the NYPD fired the officer involved in the high-profile 2014 chokehold death of Eric Garner. His dying words - "I can't breathe" - became a rallying cry at protests against excessive use of force." www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-us-canada-51467056/boy-lifted-off-floor-in-police-chokeholdLooks to me like he was owned. Poor little lamb: played the tough guy and got caught out. Not like he was a toddler.

bollox, if you can't react to a child without resorting to violence you're a bit of a dick. Hardly self defense either.

yep assaulting a child should be worth more than just getting suspended, on that we agree.

yep assaulting a child should be worth more than just getting suspended, on that we agree. Hopefully he will be fired and the family sues. *Edit: Of course that won’t happen. The police kill young black boys and men for sport without zero repercussions so a chokehold is nothing.

If you can't control a 14yo in school other than by force you shouldn't be in the job.

I think the point is that the pupil was out of control and needed to be subdued. It's dishonest posturing to suggest that all kids an be controlled all of the time by Jedi mind tricks.
