One of my all time faves has just been revived, The Krypton Factor. Just love having a go myself at the mental bits on it (being a tad mental anyhow!), and end up often doing better than them on it! But then, I don't have the nerves of being on the box do I?
Always 1/2 fancied trying it out when it was aired years ago, but they wouldn't take me on now sadly!

we've got a channel that shows all the old game shows.. it's so awsome!
at the moment, really in to deal or no deal and 1 versus 100 like jimmy car's games too

I love the Krypton Factor too, very entertaining, and very watchable. Ben Shepherd does a good job hosting the new series. I would have thought Gordon Burns who hosted the original series would have been a hard act to follow, but Ben's doing really well! I think the series will do very well!

Another game show well worth a watch is a new series on BBC1 on Saturday nights called Total Wipeout! It's hosted by Richard Hammond (from Top Gear) and co-hosted by giggly Amanda Byram! It's a brilliant mix of nutty contestants, water, mud and an endless maze of daft obstacles! It's hilarious! I love it! Each week it's a bit different so it keeps your interest, good entertainment with lots of laughs along the way! ;D

Has anyone else seen Total Wipeout yet, it's brilliant! Another game show i have loved watching recently was Hole In The Wall, where two teams lead by Anton Du Beke and Darren Gough have celebrities on their teams competing against hole shapes in a huge polystyrene wall! The object of the game is to leap through the shaped hole as the wall comes thundering towards them! If at any time the contestants hit or bump into the wall they are sent crashing into the swimming pool behind them! It's hilarious! The show is presented by Dale Winton www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2008/07_july/03/hole.shtml

I like to watch Deal or No Deal - I Sky+ it every day so we can watch it while we're having our tea. It's not so much the actual game, which is just opening boxes, as much as getting to know the contestants over the several weeks they appear on the show, first as box-openers and finally, as the game player.
I think the games on Krypton Factor are really hard, particularly the brain teasers. The Nintendo DS Brain Training games are easy-peasy compared to what the contestants are asked to answer on KF. Good to see at least one woman has got through to the final though.
I'd like to see Generation Game come back, with an upgrade and the right host it could be popular again.

I do love Total Wipeout, reminds me a lot of the old Japanese Game Show - Takeshis Castle, I'm willing to bet the idea came from that one.
Deal or no Deal I enjoy when I remember to watch it, but there is a bit too much hype on it sometimes, it is a cruel show though!
We do need more game shows though, there used to be loads of them, but now they are as rare as hen's teeth!
