Hahaha. Despite your nomadic goalposts, it wasn't enhanced during post-war reconstruction. It was already hugely popular.
At least you've done some Googling on it now.

TBF, almost all of the Top 10 sports are British (you're welcome) but taken up in differing degrees by our Commonwealth brethren and those who weren't so lucky.

So you're saying some of them didn't take up soccer because they considered it a rubbish sport?

Okay, let's try again. Why do you think Japan took to baseball?

You're confused by your own argument because you keep changing it: "Baseball is popular in Japan because it's so close to America. Well, it's closer to Alaska than the lower 48. Well, it had to do with post-war reconstruction. Well, maybe that's not true either but you're missing my point."

I haven't changed my argument. The facts support it.
Tell me what your position is again?

You did change it.
My position? I simply stated that baseball is popular in Japan. That was it, I didn't realize it would be so controversial.

And BTW, Alaska didn't become part of the US until 1959, well after baseball was introduced or post-war reconstruction took place.

Yeah, Japan and Korea are right next door to us. It's amusing how you are so up in arms about it. I'm amazed how you can't recognise facts. Actually, Japan and Korea aren't that far from the US and you have maintained large garrisons in both for many years. So, just to put a lid on your wounded jingoism ..... www.topendsports.com/world/lists/popular-sport/fans.htmAgain, pick the bones and feathers out of this.

Your tactic of trying to run people in circles to win an argument is not a very clever one.

Yes, not as funny the second time around, but thanks.

Okay, let's try again. Why do you think Japan took to baseball? Because it’s a great sport?

And BTW, Alaska didn't become part of the US until 1959, well after baseball was introduced or post-war reconstruction took place. There’s some dodgy semantics at work in this point. It was American. But I think that if the outlying Aleutian Islands were hugely influential in the spread of baseball you have to ask why there aren’t great teams from Sakhalin and Mogodon and Kamchatka.
