As I said recently, I really didn't think the Dead were my thing. But seeing the remnants-of-the-Dead in Vegas convinced me that I should have been going to shows for probably the last 35 years and I was a fool to miss out just because of the bullshit mythology around the band.

As for 1960s Tarzan, I think that was one of my main reasons for my youthful fear of dying in quicksand.

Yeah. Which is funny because he always seemed like an egotistical little tool when doing solo stuff. But excellent with the Dead. Funny also that lots of the work leans on him to do vocals but he has such a weedy little voice compared to Bob Weir.
