It is interesting that the Chief Rabbit seems to be singling out Khan.
I'm not sure it's completely fair complaint from Sadiq, though. Khan probably is the most senior UK politician who's not completely pandering to Netanyahu (and to the shrieking vocal parts of Britain's Jewish community). And while Manchester has a decent Jewish population in the north of the city, London is definitely the center of Jewish life in the UK, where most Jews live and where the various Jewish media like the Jewish Chronicle are based. So it would make sense that Khan is mentioned before Burnham.

Khan's khnife khrime khrisis. "Knife and gun crime in London both rose last year by around a fifth, official statistics have revealed. According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), 14,626 knife offences were recorded by police in the capital in the twelve months to December 2023. That was 22% higher than the 2022 total of 12,034 offences, and meant that an average of 40 blade offences were committed each day in London last year." walthamforestecho.co.uk/2024/04/25/knife-and-gun-crime-in-london-up-by-20-in-just-one-year/

Plus Khan's a Jew-hating Muslim. At least, he's happy to have his people think so.

"Sadiq Khan has accused the Chief Rabbi of singling him out for criticism over his Israel stance because he is a Muslim. In seemingly incendiary comments, Mr Khan implied that senior members of the Jewish community, including the Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis, had condemned his call for a ceasefire because of his religion. He said similar calls for a ceasefire made by Andy Burnham, the mayor of Greater Manchester, had not prompted a backlash and said that was because he was “not called Ahmed Burani, he’s called Andy Burnham whereas I’m called Sadiq Khan.” He's apologised, but this is this a whine too far? Khan is absolutely right.

I'd single him out for being a Muslim on any stance, not just Israel. We know.

Some party briefing suggests that the polling was wildly off and the Khan might only just sneak through against the bizarrely terrible Tory candidate.
Perhaps everyone having a daft meltdown about the ULEZ (which doesn't impact them because they all drive cars younger than 25 years old) plus a Gaza backlash against Starmer's zionist philosemitism, could be coming home to bit Sadiq on the arse.

"Make London traffic terrible"?? Had you ever been in London at any point during the previous half century, at least?
Also, even if an LTN did mean people couldn't use rat runs, isn't that good? The people who actually live there have a better life. And most Londoners don't, on the whole, drive. With or without LTNs, why would you use a car in London except once in a blue moon for big grocery shops, or if you're getting out of town.

While Hall is hysterical, clearly racist and Islamophobic - there is enough hysteria over knife crime and enough anti-Muslim sentiment to ensure a lot of people select her as an option over Khan.

I know driving in London was f**k**g miserable as f**k 20 and 15 and 10 years ago. And if anyone thinks it's only got bad in the last few years because you can no longer take rat runs making peoples' neighbourhoods no-go areas for pedestrians, they're either fools or disingenuous. And if I was going from Brick Lane to Walthamstow I'd probably go to Liverpool St and take the Overground and be there in about 15 minutes.

I only ever drove a bike when I lived in London's back in the 80s I used a car for about a month but it was terrible driving. Even with the bike it was crappy at times, driving a car in London has been sh*t for decades
