Fun scenario though it was, the girl sounds like a West Indian type. Scottish surname.

Odd sounding bunch. "A group of four attackers who used a "fearsome" machete to murder a teenager in east London have been given life sentences. Wazabakana Elenda Jordan Kukabu, known as Jordan, died after he was stabbed in the heart outside Dagenham Heathway Underground station in May 2023. Michael Tommy-Mbogba, 21, and Toluwaslase Odunewu,18, as well as a two teenagers aged 17 and 16 - who cannot be identified due to their age - were all found guilty of murder following a trial at the Old Bailey." www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czegzdz6ynxo

Honour? "A man has been charged with attempted murder after stabbing a woman and two children in London. Police were called to reports of an attack on a two-year-old boy, an eight-year-old girl and a woman in her 30s on Friday at around 5.35pm in Dagenham, east London. Officers discovered the three victims suffering from stab wounds. The woman and children were taken to the hospital for treatment but none of their conditions are life-threatening. All those involved are known to each other, the Metropolitan Police added. A spokesman for the Met Police said: “Kulvinder Ram was arrested following a stabbing in First Avenue, Dagenham on Friday, 25 October.” www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/10/27/man-charged-after-woman-children-stabbed-dagenham/

"Britain’s most senior police officer has accused “those in positions of authority” of fuelling “a dangerous narrative” about the shooting of a black Londoner Chris Kaba after he was stopped by officers in 2022. Sir Mark Rowley, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, said by focusing on Mr Kaba’s ethnicity, they had created "rumour and innuendo” which could “embolden those who work against the public". The Labour MPs Diane Abbott and Kim Johnson, and former Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn, were among prominent people who raised concerns about potential police racism or called for "justice for Chris Kaba". The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said the shooting had caused "anger, pain and fear" for black Londoners. A charity, The Runnymede Trust, tweeted that "the legal system doesn’t deliver real justice for families bereaved by racist state violence". www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0mzlvgjz04o

The Runnymede Trust should have its charitable status taken away. Would "real" justice be a guaranteed guilty verdict? Have they forgotten juries are a thing?

So the Met Police Commissioner isn't someone in a position of authority?

Hmmmmmm. "A man armed with a knife went on the rampage at a busy London market killing one man and seriously injuring two others. Shoppers at the East Street Market were forced to flee as the attacker charged through the south-east London street targeting people at random. Witnesses said the man lunged at people in Walworth in a series of seemingly unprovoked attacks shortly before 11am on Sunday. Police were called at 10.40am after receiving reports of multiple stabbings at the market just off Walworth Road. Footage posted online showed paramedics performing CPR on one of the victims as visitors to the market looked on in horror. A man in his 60s died at the scene. Two people – a man and a woman – suffered stab wounds and were taken to hospital. Police are waiting for an update on their conditions. A man, believed to be in his 60s, was arrested at the scene. Police have confirmed they are not treating it as terrorism and the incident is believed to be mental health related." www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/11/10/man-dead-stabbing-east-street-market-london/

The number of batshit, clearly mentally ill, untreated people I see walking around is absolutely mind blowing to me. What is going on? It’s like an epidemic? Are these people estranged from their families? Are their families unable to cope?
A lot of people who refuse to accept their mental health is in decline.

Another one in my hood www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/finsbury-park-stabbing-knife-crime-clifton-terrace-b1193340.html“A man was left seriously injured after being stabbed in an apparent fight closed to a north London station. The emergency services were called to the scene of the knifing at 2.42pm on Monday at Finsbury Park’s Clifton Terrace.” I walk past here every day and was there about 30 mins before getting lunch at Sparks. Every time I walk past that bit of Finsbury Park I think of the Chris Rock saying (I think it was him): Areas where all the women are unemployed are good areas to live in. Areas where all the men are unemployed are places to avoid. Always huge groups of men just hanging around with nothing better to do with their time and no jobs. And where you have men with nothing better to do you get trouble.

"un"
I worked on a project based in Woodberry Down 2 or 3 years ago. Used to get the train to Finsbury Park station and walk through the park. It seemed like a decent enough area.
