But I'm on her side this time. I'll give this a "so what?" Although, "Mr Abbot", hahahaha. mol.im/a/6941539

“A passenger on the train told The Sun: 'She kept her head down and was staring at her phone but kept slurping from the can. It was 1pm, so a bit early to be drinking — especially in publiC”
Ha ha ha!
What a sheltered life this person has led...

The lowest bit of reportage so far. But then, look where it comes from.

Dunno. Was it a work day? I think it probably does raise an eyebrow that a high-profile public figure found it necessary to break the rules on drinking on public transport I order to get outside a large rum at one o'clock I'm the afternoon.

Breaking the rules - maybe, but the comment about drinking at 1pm.
Goodness that’s positively the afternoon. Drinking at that time is no problem whatsoever.

If she was on her way to a BBQ or summat. And not on the tube of course.

I wouldn't have known it was breaking the rules. Drinking on public transport seems as much a core part of British culture as going to church on Sundays and waving a football rattle and smoking two packs of woodbines a day.

If she was on her way to a BBQ or summat. And not on the tube of course. I still think it’s sheltered. I would maybe find swigging from a bottle of wine on the tube odd. But pre-mixes are basically pop. It would never even occur to me to take a photo of a politician drinking from a pre-mix can on the tube. That’s a bit sad.

I do remember them bringing in the no drinking on the tube rules - it was under BJ. I broke that so many times when I lived in london...!

But why apologise? I'd say 'bollocks - so sue me you bunch of miserable arseholes.' Technically she broke the law. But it’s just further proof of the weird fixation some people have on Abbott really.

Perhaps she should just pay the fine.

"The therapist and writer Philippa Perry said: “Oh mate. We’ve all done it. Anyway thanks for travelling on the tube like most people have to do.”
Or obey the rules, like the rest of us,eh?
"While the Labour MP David Lammy said: “Jah Rastafaria! Why was the rum not Jamaican?”
Rastafarians don't drink.
