It's the same tedious look-at-me childishness that might lead a person to have his mates beat him up and put a rope around his neck. It's just shite. Tedious, empty-headed shite. But for women who wear dresses too? I just don't get why a desire to wear a dress to an event becomes tedious dependent on your gender? If anything I would presume people such as Porter are taking advantage of that fact that in his line of work he can get away with wearing clothing he wants to wear and feels more comfortable in. But yes why are women in dresses not tedious and empty-headed?

Although that said that's the beauty of free societies while people can have whatever views / assumptions they like about how somebody chooses to dress, they cannot block somebody from presenting in a way that is comfortable for them.

"heavily gendered".

It’s not really a stretch to state that certain items of clothing are heavily gendered. Jeans - no Dresses - yes. I mean you can see Baloo classifying all men who would wear a dress as tedious and needy but he doesn’t appear to view women who wear dresses as tedious and needy (although he may do). That’s due to that item of clothing being heavily gendered.

Or just gendered.

I said what I said. Tuxedos are gendered yet women wearing them creates less of an issue and is not remotely uncommon. Heavily gendered is where the item / behaviour etc is so associated with one gender that somebody of the other gender doing it / using it is mocked or viewed with suspicion.

Ah you mean like when blokes don't get a round in and we all take the piss. You mixing up your threads mate. Speaking of rounds they’re a nightmare. I don’t mind doing them but I like expensive cocktails or whisky so I always feel pressured to change my drink if we’re doing rounds. But if I opt out of the round then I am the weirdo being anti-social.

Drinking out is eye-wateringly expensive.

Drinking out is eye-wateringly expensive. Back in the beginning of the 70s you could buy a pint for 1/10d (one shilling and ten pence) which today is a bit under 6pence. Now it's what? - £4? If you can find a pub. F*cking state of the world.

Go to a 'spoons. Cheap and cheerful, convivial company.

I can see four things wrong in this statement: Nobody in their right mind goes to an All Bar One Nobody in their right mind goes drinking (or does anything else) in Leicester Square You're drinking Sierra Nevada pale (presumable the Pale) in Britain rather than something interesting, although that may be limited by it being an All Bar One The price

Guilty. Guilty. Guilty. Guilty, but as it WAS Mrs. Moggs' special birthday bash, inc. Fleetwood Mac concert tickets, a lovely hotel and a wander round the Souq that the West End has become, I have an excuse. Not a particularly good one I admit, but an excuse nonetheless.

I saw Fleetwood Mac play a few years ago, and they put on a great show. Well, mostly Lindsay Buckingham put on a great show.
Anyway, I think your excuses stand up, in this particular instance.
