I think we were proposing to get Baron Farage of Dover to head up the Bongo Committee.

The chances of Farage being made Secretary General of the Commonwealth are perhaps vanishingly small.
By his own admission he doesn't like darkies (and Europeans obvs.), so I'd like to think that his metier lies elsewhere - promoting Gangsta Rap or some such.

f**k**g Fargle off to spend his days saying trite but polite things about farms in Sierra Leone, and maybe accidentally get Ebola, seems like a great use of the position.
The Empire basically existed to get rid of the B-Arkers, where they could f**k up somewhere that didn't really matter like India or Australia or Kenya. This would be a great symbolic use of the empire's symbolic husk.

Anyone listen to him today? Hackneyed rhetoric. Like he was speaking for the defence of Fred West. Fuck me, do these Labour leaders have no idea at all, that it's about getting the voting public on your side.
Promise UBI, PR, updating of the NHS, and removal of VAT on booze and they'd be eating out of his hand. But what does he do? Waffles and has little digs at Johnson which if anything will make doubters rally behind the PM because he's not in a position to defend himself. You know what the British people are like. Starmer needs a new speechwriter or he's a fecking eejit. Probably both.

Was he wearing the Union flag as a cape and singing, "Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Mr Hitler"?

He said 'moving on' a lot. And he believes a lot too.

Labour have ceased to be, haven't they?
Nothing to say. I wonder if this is what it was like under Churchill I.

Starmer's Labour are amazingly useless. They seem entirely focus group driven, and entirely targeting the "Red Wall" northern seats that Labour lost, and which are now full of people who won't vote Labour. And who Labour are trying to win back through a combination of flag-humping and lawn order stuff. Which is the worst strategy of the lot because anybody who's into flag humping or "cracking down on nuisance neighbours" already has a couple of parties they'd vote for before Labour.
It's like all the worst aspects of Mandelson-driven Blairism, but without the realpolitik of actually being able to win elections.
As Jeffrey Lebowski almost once said: "Say what you like about Corbyn, but at least he stood for something."

Funny that Starmer's heavies thought it would be fine to manhandle the Landlord in his own boozer.
Starmer's toast.

Hahaha... that's brilliant.
Starmer's a f**k**g disgrace. He played the weasel all along to get where he is, undermining his own party as he went. If ever we needed an opposition leader who could take full advantage of an open goal and miss...
The Labour Party's dead.
