I see Sue Gray has been found to have broken the civil service code.

Result!
She broke the Code, Starmer knew nothing about it, and she's free to take up her position as and when.
The piss-soaked apoplexy of the Tories here and the associated dangerous levels of hypertension amongst some of them are great to see; for these reasons alone, I'm well 'appy.

Of course, Labour with their extreme probity will immediately sack her and Labour supporters will be clamouring for this. Labour, who the BBC tells us are massively probituous, will not stand for a dishonest Chief of Staff. Any minute now, I expect Stampfer will announce she no longer has the job.

Labour scum. Entirely typical, of course. "A Kirklees councillor and her partner have been jailed for attempting to pervert the course of justice over a speeding offence. Fazila Loonat's partner Afshin Amini was captured driving her car at 39mph on a 30mph road in Dewsbury in 2020. A notice of intended prosecution was sent to her address but she returned the forms naming a fictitious driver. At Bradford Crown Court, the Labour councillor was jailed for 14 weeks and Amini for 12 weeks." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-66122776

Stupid too. The first thing you do is ask for photographic evidence, which they're obliged to supply. It's amazing what little things turn up, like my friend who saw his face was covered by the camera's date stamp. So he denied it, saying all his family used the car - could have been anyone. And he got off with it.

I see Starmer's hanging out (?) more and more with Anthony Charles Lynton Blair. I never knew that apparently he appeared at Bow Street court a few years back charged with importuning in a public toilet. link
It's laughable stuff of course, but when you start looking at Public Prosecution, Starmer, Savile, and the labyrinth of who-knows-who behind it, it begins to make the whole political network look pretty shabby.

I see. Interesting. "Our investigation has uncovered that GDL, owned and run by Jameel Malik, are routinely paid around £200 a day - tens of thousands of pounds a year - to drive lone pupils just a few miles to school. Included among the dozens of huge charges is a £230, three days a week charge, to drive a single child less than two miles each way to school in a wheelchair-accessible cab, around £65 per mile. A Hackney Carriage fare would be less than £15 a day. Another example is a £210 a day, or £40,500 a year, fare to drive one pupil a little more than three miles each way. The firm also charged £120 a day, nearly £23,000 a year, for a daily journey of just 1.5 miles each way for one pupil in a standard car." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12194633/Labour-run-Birmingham-City-Council-fire-11M-probe-eye-watering-payments-taxi-firm-charging-200-day-child-three-miles-school-back.html

I'm sure it's corrupt as f**k, but that article reads like advertising puff for the "rival cab firm" and "nationally recognised competitor" HATS. Enough that you think the boss of HATS is friends with the journo who wrote this and planted this story to try and steal GDL's business.

Yeah but at least you know your kids are safe with HATS. You're never quite sure with GDL.

She probably tried for diplomatic immunity first, then the old Windrush discount and, finally, expenses.

I'd argue that could be seen as a fair claim on public funds. Would it be better if she left her constituents hanging because her parking ticket expired, refusing to do her job. 55 quid isn't much, and a constituency surgery is a genuine piece of public service. If it was a parking ticket when she was meeting dodgy Russian billionaires for lunch and cocaine, that would be a different matter.
