He had a go at the front door first. Important that.

He’s not a rapper but at least they got the sentence right! (As long as he does every single day of the 30 years.)
Now to go after all his enablers too.

He was always rubbish. As well as being a vile nonce.

"I Believe I Can Fly"?
Really? Well, you've certainly had your wings clipped now, you evil b*st*rd. What kind of sad f*ck knowingly infects anyone with genital herpes, never mind underage girls? Pure evil.

I agree about letting him rot in prison , but was wondering…. Do we stop listening to his records or Michael Jackson’s or movies by Roman Polanski & Kevin Spacey??? If we do these things then the cancel list is going to be very very long…

I never started listening to his records, given that they're shite.

Too right. Much of the industry is infected. These are just the few they nail, and you have to ask why them in particular; usually there's a deeper often political motive. I'm still amazed they caught up with Weinstein, considering the wealth and power he had. Someone wanted him.

You've changed from 5th to 4th person, we to you. What's your point? My reply to your post was stating the problem's widespread, that's all.
On a personal note, I occasionally listen to Greensleeves, written by one of the worst men in British history. Where does one stop?

The original bass player in The Mothers of Invention and involved on and off for years after, Roy Estrada, is currently serving a very long prison sentence for sexually abusing a child. That doesn't stop me listening to Zappa.

I also listen or watch things made by bad or maligned people as I feel that I would otherwise be punishing myself for no good reason… So I’m happy to watch Chinatown or Annie Hall etc

I’m fine with Motown and Miles and Spector, because they’re great. I’m OK with Michael Jackson and Kevin Spacey because they did OK stuff. I can’t remember the last time I watched anything made by Polanski, but I can imagine myself doing so. I won’t listen to R Kelly again if I can avoid it because it’s always been utter sh*t.
Basically, I avoid art made by nonces if the art doesn’t have the quality transcend the artist. Or if the art references the noncery. Your “Sweet Little Sixteen” and “I Saw Her Standing There” and “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl” and so on, if they were made by people known to be nonces, would be very tough to listen to.

Wouldn't listen to Gary Glitter now.
Mind you, never did and dunno why anyone else did.
But on the whole, I do agree with separating the art from the artist. Also, never meet your heroes - they might bum you.

I'm not sure that Sweet Little 16 is a nonce record even though it was written by Chuck Berry, a convicted nonce.

I won't stop listening to The Stones just because the lyrics to Brown Sugar are, to some, offensive.
