Seriously though the police are trash:

They are literally the only industry that do not think breach of the rules by officers should be punished. Every other organisation understands that breaking rules means gross misconduct and being sacked. But not the police for some reason.

It’s wild.
If this was a Banker who was found to have committed gross misconduct and was fired I doubt he/she would have people jumping to their defence…

And also, in a lot of cases, why would you do more than the bare minimum in your job, anyway - do what you're paid for. If your employer wants you to do more, you employer should pay you for that time. |

Interesting that the “serving officer” probably garners support from the usual suspects here, but if exactly those words about support etc. were to be used by a nurse, a doctor, a civil servant etc., then don’t be surprised if the same level of support swiftly evaporates.

Yeah, so keen are they to fall in behind The Met’s anti-racist track record, that same Great British Public has donated about 1/14th of a penny per capita - quite frankly the “ringingest” endorsement of London’s Finest I’ve ever seen or heard of. |

All made up. I've rarely met a copper that I didn't think was a bit of a dick. I used to play football with one who was a decent bloke, but he got out of it quickly to become a public defender - so basically an anti-copper. |
