Our contributors are very strange. The school board says they’re concerned about over-representation of white parents on the school board and our readers are shocked about a white parent not getting the place on the school board. And the reason is because he’s gay…
Do our contributors consider gay people to be de facto non-white? Do they think the experience of being gay is the same as the experience of being black or Latinx?

Very strange indeed. i posted it because it's obvious they were twisting themselves into knots trying to decide which protected check box member they should give the job to. it's amusing. i can see them panicking and saying "oh, no! which under represented check mark box should we choose?" interesting that the article didn't say if there were any gays already on the board. |

They weren’t tying themselves in knots though. You just once again show us you cannot read. They want more LGBT+ representation but also want a balance of ethnicities and for it not to have white people be overrepresented. “LGBT+” is non synonymous with “non-white”. It’s not hard. |
