It's funny those who've run down the NHS every time they've been in office and spent the last 13 years doubling down on destroying it have come to the conclusion it's failing. Ffs only an utter chump would not see through this, yes it's failing and for a very good reason, the Tories have put a great deal of effort into making ut fail.

It's long been tory policy to run down the NHS same as they did with public utilities so they can sell it off peace meal to their cronies at the lowest possible price. They see Healthcare as potential profit and hate the fact they can't get their hand on it.

The Conservatives have held the safe suburban London seat of Old Bexley and Sidcup in by-election.

Their candidate, local councillor Louie French, won more than half the votes, with Labour's Daniel Francis second.

Mr French paid tribute to the area's former MP, James Brokenshire, whose death from cancer in October triggered the contest.

The Tories' majority has been cut from nearly 19,000 to 4,478, with a 10% swing to Labour.
