Rick said the vacancy was filled, not that a replacement was named.
I'm more than happy for 2016 to repeat, the President to name a candidate, the Senate to not vote, and then a replacement to get named by the newly elected President Kamala.

Yes. Confirming Garland would have been the right thing to do. Now that the Republicans sabotaged and politicised the court in 2016, there's no reason for the Democrats to not do the same.
None of this changes my original point which was that the vacancy wasn't filled unlike what Rick said.

Trump visits the Supreme Court where RGB lies in repose to pretend he cares. As he's not in front of a paying crowd he gets loudly booed and "vote him out" chants.
(Most Americans don't like dictators.)
And Ted Cruz blocks a resolution honoring her because he likes being a douche.
This is the Republicans of today. Far cry from what they used to be.

I think we should stop even addressing all her inherent madness - the crazy about overturning precedent, the crazy about abortion, the religious crazy about her bizarre sworn oaths to her religious leadership.
We should just focus on Trump's specific claim that he needs her installed in order to win the election. It both shows how desperate Trump is, and how corrupt the appointment is. That's all we need to know.

The main question the dems should be asking her repeatedly is "did trump ask you for personal loyalty?" As he's done repeatedly since being in office when handing out jobs.
