so you are ok with a fully intact man being able to go into a women's bathroom and shower against their objections? I think the owners of those showers and bathrooms can decide who enters them. Why do you think people should be forced to undergo surgery to have their gender identity recognised? sure, they can decide. but if they deny a fully intact man who "identifies" as a woman access to women's showers, said owners will face punishment if not driven out of business. if i decided, as a white male, to "identify" as a black female lesbian would you recognize my identity? |

Mids's argument that it's a "left" obsession is a bit weak when he (right wing)'s the one who posted the article, which is in the Daily Mail (right wing), which is about a Tory (right wing) Deputy Chairperson. I think it's very clear which side of the political spectrum is deeply unhealthily obsessed by peoples' junk.

Nah, it's definitely the left who are obsessed with this. They've spent the last few years pushing to get transy stuff into every section of society, quite successfully. Now what's happening is that the stupidity of much of it is being exposed to the public and the public aren't as keen as the left are. Now that there's some pushback (gender recognition being watered down, Tavistock clinic closing, government departments disassociating with Stonewall, or at least being told to etc), the left are squealing. Wrong side of history, the left. Wrong side of history.

That was a bit posh of me. (and a mistake) Grrr - I hate when autocorrect ruins my posts! She does look like a berk but so do a lot of cisgender women. I assume it’s just as our signalling that she is trans (irrespective that she does not pass) so people use the right pronouns with her. Unfortunately she is likely to draw more negative attention from rea life trolls than if she was male presenting. |
