Oh calm down, a grand jury of ordinary citizens voted to indite him, a judge and jury of his peers will try him. It's the law and no one should be exempt from it or above it. Trumps DOJ put Cohen in jail for a year for his part in this, so we know it was illegal, and as he did it at Trumps behest we know there is a case to answer.
Squeeling it's political is risible, if he's innocent the jury will aquit him, if he's not he'll be found guilty. Equal before the law and all that.

Technically she's not a hooker she's a porn star and he didn't pay her for sex he paid her to shut up in the run up to an election. Not like you to be pedantic, but if you insist... A prostitute is defined as a person paid for sex, therefore a porn star is a prostitute. And of course he paid her for sex. Who would have sex with him, if they weren't getting handsomely rewarded, one way or another?! There are many worse things that he's done, and many more illegal, and many more involving much more cash. But, as the Al Capone story tells us, get them on the charges that are easy to prove. Don't prosecute the bad things that are really complex and are going to be hard to get a conviction if you already have a real tangible case. Fair point. It's quite amusing really, given he must have some fairly competent lawyers. I presume if they'd advised him to pay from his own coffers, rather than appropriating campaign funds, there would have been no wrongdoing. |

I know you worship him, but if Cohen was guilty for doing Trumps bidding, at Trumps directions on behalf of Trump, then surely there is a case to answer, and as all are equal under the law, he should nit be afraid if he's innocent.

It's quite amusing really, given he must have some fairly competent lawyers. There’s an interesting thing here. He may have had competent lawyers at one point - maybe even when he made this payment. But he’s ignored lawyers advice so often, has trashed and publicly complained about so many lawyers, and has decided to cherry pick lawyers who agree with him even when all the competent ones know he’s wrong (which is why those mentioned earlier in the thread got prosecuted for misconduct). We’re now at a point where fewer and fewer competent attorneys will work for him. Some of his lawyers now work out of strip malls in New Jersey like east coast Saul Goodman types. |

Or maybe the lines to some spectacularly inane and hagiographic protest song by the MAGA Woody Guthrie. Anyway, nobody knows what the charges are yet because they’re still under seal. I think we discover what they are at the arraignment. Rumours from newspapers who have contacts who know somebody who knows somebody say that maybe 30 different corruption charges are coming, but we should take all that with a pinch of salt so far. All we know is that a grand jury of ordinary citizens saw enough evidence to suggest guilt that they voted that the prosecutors should bring charges. |
