That's Biden's goal, clearly. The longer this can stretch out, the less chance of it happening.
As for Mids's article, it's mostly right. But the serious strategic weakening of NATO happened under Trump, because Trump was totally - and vocally - uncommitted to NATO. His whole America First schtick was about not engaging in far off places about which we know little. He regularly demeaned foreigners and dealing with foreign powers, except for strong-men. The Trump years meant that someone like Putin could begin to envision a post-NATO world where the Americans didn't care any more.

Russia ramping up its bollox claims that Ukraine is shelling their forces, now saying they bombed, what looks like a shed in the woods near Rostov. Funny seeing Bert playing the roll of the useful idiot, instantly swallowing these claims as being legit, despite the farcical nature of them. Won't be long before he resurrects the crucified boy story as a justification for Putins actions.

Your first point is of course true, but the second, grief... How can you be so far off the mark? I'm not talking from a political perspective, but a technical one. It's interesting that bullshit propaganda still sells to anyone who wants to believe it, despite the fact it's easily debunked. My attitude could be leveled at America, the UK, and other Nations too. I don't need to find a neutral source. It's neutral sources which contain data showing the propaganda for the crap it is. I hate being human sometimes. To have to accept such morons share the same species. |
