Yeah, I miss the days when we could just rock up and sink a Russian boat or shell Sevastopol, just to make a point.

The Novichok attacks on British soil that killed Dawn Sturgess, hospitalised Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia (the intended targets), Wiltshire Constabulary’s DS Nick Bailey and Charlie Rowley, partner of Dawn Sturgess, took place under a Tory Government.
Your point about Spain's socialist government is what then? Or am I just being "triggered" again, your go-to response when evidently you're shown to be spouting utter bollocks?

The British just rocking up to Sevastopol always turned out well for everyone involved. We should definitely do it again.

Oh, I dunno, it gave us Mary Seacoal, just a mention her name triggers weak men to fits of tears and hair pulling, so the amusement factor of that is enough to forgive the rest of that sordid business.

Yes. But, as I noted, it didn't turn out particularly well for anyone.

I see the quadroon businesswoman's CV has seen something of an overhaul in recent times. Funny, that. You barely hear her name on the BBC these days. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Seacole

I especially enjoyed this:
"Mrs Seacole missed the first three major battles of the war, as she was busy in London attending to her gold investments—she had arrived from Panama where she had provided services for prospectors going overland to the California Gold Rush. She gave assistance at the battlefield on three later battles, going out to attend to the fallen after serving wine and sandwiches to spectators."
Respeck! Dem Lady wi' dem lunch.

They've definitely toned down her heroic nursing achievements. There's a decent, interesting story to be told there. If only they (BBC etc) had just stuck to the facts and not just made sh*t up, we would have one less thing to point and laugh at the left about.

It's very odd that the patronising lib-left kumbayah crowd felt that they needed to imagineer a role model for black kids. There are thousands of existing role models, with genuinely inspiring achievments, almost all of them white. Much like old ma Seacole.

"Ukraine says it has downed a Russian A-50 military spy plane - the second such claim in just over a month."
This is interesting. It suggests that the Russian AF is being forced to take risks to achieve coverage. Also, the Ukes have been knocking down a fair number of Russian fighter-bombes recently. Patriots? F-16s? A combined threat creating traps?

It suggests that the Russian AF is being forced to take risks to achieve coverage. Also, the Ukes have been knocking down a fair number of Russian fighter-bombes recently. Patriots? F-16s? A combined threat creating traps? If true it's a substantial damage to the Russians because they only have 8 of these things and they're very expensive and take a long time to build. Also seems to have been quite a long way back in Russian territory (which might have been guessed to have been safe). If they have to move further back they're are also going to be useless. If the Ukrainians keep hitting expensive, long build targets like boats and top-end planes, that's a very good use of limited resources, rather than standard military attrition which is what's been going on elsewhere.
