Leaving aside that a father and son are apt to be somewhat consanguinous, you may have a point, and one which might be explored by reference to the royal families lf several other countries. More racist science.

Boris's gene pool is famously diverse, as is that of his kids.

JRM's DNA is diverse both in origin and period. Of course, a double-barrelled name should logically suggest some degree of genetic mixing. His mother was Irish-American.
