Interesting the police comander chose to sacrifice children to make sure his officers were not put in harms way.

Never mind the existentialist gloom that leads to killing kids with assault rifles. I have just booked to see a comedian tomorrow night and been charged an additional £ 1.80 booking fee even though I can't buy tickets on the door.
I am going to break that comedian's windscreen just to get my own back.

"A US woman has fatally shot a man who opened fire on a crowd of people with a semi-automatic rifle in Charleston, West Virginia. Dennis Butler, a 37-year-old with an extensive criminal history, was killed after he targeted a group of around 40 people attending a birthday party." www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-61615236Now, the gun-inadequates will no doubt claim that this was a case of a good guy with a gun. Well, they're morons. American, degenerate morons. Look at how the rest of the World sees this: a bloke with a seriously long criminalnrecord is wandering around with a firearm. He decides to shoot up some college kids having a party and clearly doesn't care who he hits. A member of the public, who just happens to be habitually armed with a lethal weapon steps in and kills the bloke. Mental, degenerate, stupid, corrupt, inadequate, uncaring, unjust America

"Former President Donald Trump has called on US lawmakers to prioritise funding for school security over sending military aid to Ukraine. Speaking at a pro-gun conference, Mr Trump questioned how the US "has $40 billion to send to Ukraine" but cannot ensure security in schools. The meeting of the National Rifle Association (NRA), the largest US gun group, is taking place in Houston." www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-61614782Mental, degenerate etc. See, it can't just be a good ole boy thing, can it?

Conforming to his usual derangement, Trump says everyone in the US should be armed for their own safety. Civil war looms.

I wonder why Trump thinks it’s either/or. I also wonder why he didn’t spent those $40bn on school safety when he was Prez if he knew how to actually make the difference with it. I also wonder what he’d do with $40bn spent on school safety.
If I had $40bn to spend on school safety I’d make a law requiring gun ownership to be licensed properly and gun owners to have mental health and skills checked as part of the test, and then have those licences renewed every couple of years. And then spend the rest on a buyback program.

Why would you spend $40B on school safety rather than use it to get rid of guns?

They’re the same thing

And we’re now at the point where more kids die from guns than die in car crashes in the US - yes, it’s absolutely deranged but guns are currently the leading cause of child deaths. So if you had $40bn to spend on child safety generally you’d also use it to get rid of guns.

Correct. But one is an ongoing cost.

Makes you wonder if disarming the police might change some attitudes.

Interesting the police comander chose to sacrifice children to make sure his officers were not put in harms way. Shocking stufc Sometimes their slogan "Protect and Serve" plays out "Protect and Serve the cops". They don't run the streets, they are supposed to engage the threat - it is a war after all, and what do you call a soldier who cowers in battle?? . . Cowards

Terrible job, being a policeman. But someone has to do it.

TBF our cops are generally brave and the ones whose job it is to use firearms are bloody good and aggressive when needed.

Many don't even consider what life would be like without them. Anarchy and widespread gang warfare. Anyone not part of a gang would be toast.

More people in the US are killed by toddlers shooting guns than die from gun violence here in Canada. And it's not as if guns are not widely owned here
