Very good, mate. You're perhaps showing your age, but still very good.

Didn't it turn out to be men?
Duncan Sandys was named as one, but I forget who the other was purported to have been.

You seem to have accidentally posted a load of guff by Laurie Penny instead of the brilliant and insightful article by Jacob Rees Mogg that you meant to post.

The royal family perpetuates the class system in the UK. The 'us and them' mentality will last as long as they do, which is unfortunate for the country as the potential of many of its people is never realised. I genuinely don't buy that. How many French presidents haven't been from Estabiishment families? There's a slight difference between establishment families and Monarchy, non?

Well, there isn't an explicit constitutional requirement in France to perpetuate it, unlike in Britain. There may be de facto actions in the US and France that retain hereditary privilege and class, but it's not absolutely utterly baked in.

That’s a great piece! I am still amazed at the fact Britons queued for so long to look at a coffin!

We know. And we also know that's why you're destined to always be on the losing side, politically.

Although it's probably good that you've finally accepted you're forever destined to be disappointed.

“Disappointed” and “amazed” are actually two different words with different meanings.

So you clearly did not see any value in queuing for 12 hours to see a closed box.
Interesting.

It gives a strange picture of Britain when people can spare the time to travel to London to stand in a queue for hours.
