What's the alternative? That we shouldn't be providing these weapons to Ukraine?
alternative? ramp up production on a massive scale. but we know the left will not allow that. we are diverting weapons meant for israel and s. korea to ukraine. stockpiles are getting so low we don't have enough for our own military's needs.

They don't tell us what the current stockpiles are. Just what the current rate of production would take to replace those sent. If we have hundreds of millions of Javelins in the arsenal, the current production rate should only replace those getting used in training exercises and sending a few hundred to Ukraine would make no material difference to the US.
It's notable that the military doesn't say they need extras. It's non-government lobbyists who work for the arms industry who're telling us this.

I don't think Israel's gonna run out any time soon, they are getting far far more military aid day to day than the Ukes will ever get.
Though, as noted before, there is a section on the US right who really do want Putin to succeed, and they want the US to stop leading the efforts to keep democratic Ukrain independent of Russia. After spending 4 years trying to weaken and destroy NATO and break the western alliance they're appalled Biden not only reverced those efforts, but united NATO and the west to be stronger than in decades.

US is running low on some weapons and ammunition to transfer to Ukraine CNN — "As the first full winter of Russia’s war with Ukraine sets in, the US is running low on some high-end weapons systems and ammunition available to transfer to Kyiv, three US officials with direct knowledge tell CNN. The strain on weapons stockpiles – and the ability of the US industrial base to keep up with demand – is one of the key challenges facing the Biden administration as the US continues to send billions of dollars of weapons to Ukraine to support its fight against Russia. For the first time in two decades, the US is not directly involved in a conflict after withdrawing from Afghanistan and transitioning to an advisory role in Iraq. Without the need to produce weapons and ammunition for a war, the US has not manufactured the quantities of materiel needed to sustain an enduring, high-intensity conflict." www.cnn.com/2022/11/17/politics/us-weapon-stocks-ukraine/index.htmlnow i will wait for you to say cnn is a non-government lobbyist who works for the arms industry.
