They've hit the nail on the head, far right extremist spreading hate and division and using the murder of three girls as an excuse to target any non while community with violence, most particularly Muslim communities. Violent racist thugs will find any reason to be violent racist thugs. They should be rounding them up and throwing them in jail. I would bet the actual source of their frustration is that their lives, entirely of their own doing, are fairly crappy, and they are looking for somebody to blame. So foreigners and / or non-whites will do.

"It comes as Sir Keir Starmer said police have his “full support” to take action against “extremists” attempting to “sow hate” by intimidating communities. The Home Secretary Yvette Cooper added that rioters engaging in violent disorder “will pay the price”." Bungle and Zippy have really made a pig's ear of this. They don't seem to be able to describe the problem. They have described it accurately and perfectly. Far right racists engaging in violence and trying to further their own hate.

Hardly, she shares the same idiotic outlook as Bungle, Zippy et al, although she seems to accept that these rioters are at least in part reacting to frustrations in their own lives.

Not approving of riots being compared to children’s TV of the 70s is definitely weird. The right have gone doolally.

Nah, it's a common enough comparison.
Still, the running order today, according to The Sun, is as follows:
"Cops are bracing themselves for more carnage ahead of planned rallies today in Rotherham, Rushmoor, Weymouth, Middlesborough and Lancaster."
It's interesting that The Sun is very careful to be seen to be disapproving of these chaps, as it would be very easy to get themselves on the wrong side of history here. I suspect that The Sun is perfectly aware that many of their readership, and that of the other tabloids, are sympathetic. Also, The Sun is loving the free content.
It also looks like these disturbances are a northern thing with just a couple of token southern outbreaks for appearances. Neither Pompey or Weymouth strike me as hotbeds of working class race war, but there are plenty of frustrated people wherever you are in UK, I suppose.

Starkey made quite an interesting point about Starner and his ilk: that they don't so much believe in the rule of law, as the rule of lawyers. It's not the full picture, but it does describe his approach well. And Blair's.

From reports from the North it appears that lots of the agitators have non-local accents. The implication being that it’s a relatively small cadre of racist provocateurs who’re traveling the country trying to trigger a wider race war. They’re getting a sympathetic hearing from a bunch of Labour MPs who keep saying things like “we need to listen to their grievances). And, of course, the BBC and the rest of the right wing media. But it’s not obvious that the public are very interested.

As opposed to another, much larger cadre of non-local racist provocateurs who pop up all over the country trying to trigger a wider race war. Labour MPs.

I agree that the most people are only tangentially interested, and the tabloids are aware of the fact that there's no more mileage in it than that. Certainly, they are happy to be on-message and keen to avoid unfortunate appearances.

Almost every report I've seen has mentioned that it's people from outside whatever area the protests are happening. How do they know? That's been said right from the start in Southport but how do they know? Of course they real problem is from those a bit further afield than just outside the "area"...
