Apache by The Shadows. Bought it for my Mum for her birthday - or so I said, but in reality I desperately wanted it but couldn't afford it, so when Dad gave me money to buy Mum something........ And yes, we still have it!

My first 45 rpm single was bought with pocket money, it was called My Sweet Lord by George Harrison. I wasn't religious then and i'm not particularly now, i just loved the record. Whenever i hear it now, i think back to the days when i bought the single in WH Smiths all those years ago!

I was lucky in that I had an older brother and sister so I just listened to all their records.
The first single I ever bought with my own money was Witch's Promise by Jethro Tull........ Loved it !

Some really great singles there!
I loved Gary Numan too!
Most of these singles still stand the test of time, classics!

Mine was 'Every which way' by John Barry. Now worth around £50 I think.
