The world isn't black and white. One side always right the other always wrong. Unfortunately it is possible, in fact in warlike situations it's very likely, that evil deeds are commited by both sides.
You don't have to be either for or against a particular authority to recognise an act that should never have happened. Neither does it make you a supporter of terrorists when you recognise that there is a history of events that fuels their hatred.
It doesn't excuse their hatred. There is no excuse, ever, to rejoice in the death or heartbreak of innocent people.
