and it's really anoying me... when i'm in the middle of something it just decides to crash on me.
it's been playing up for the past few days... i wonder why?
anything i can maybe do to fix this

More info required.
My Virgin ADSL was upgraded over the weekend and then failed to work. Once I got a competant support guy we tried a few things and eventually got it back.
Since then speed and ping have been good but it's been disconnecting, mostly in the evenings.
I have upgraded the firmware in my router as the specific problem I found (v high noise margin) seemed to be a good match to ADSL2 upgrades, disconnects and high noise.

I'm having Virgin problems too, as in not getting mail for days on end, 'aint just me, most of my family use it and we are all suffering from it.
What Browser are you using avetur?
There is a bug going round I had to get someone in to get rid of that was making my Slimbrowser stick and crash, that day alone he had removed 5 from other PC's. I may have it back again, some of the early symptoms are back again.

i'm using firefox, as it was advised on the news to keep away from internet explorer.
and i am using bt... they sound worse than virgin now i've read this thread
