A Conservative MP has alleged that police entered his Commons office without a search warrant demanding to see constituency correspondence. Daniel Kawczynski said he found it "disgraceful" after the controversy over the arrest of shadow immigration minister Damian Green last year. The MP for Shrewsbury and Atcham said he had handed over the letter that the police had demanded. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7843578.stm
No more word about this latest outrage yet. MPs clearly need more protection from such harrassment. But with the, now scuppered, plans to exempt them from the latest Freedom of Information Act, can we trust them to only give themselves the protection they need?
