Next summer, as a new British government gets settled in, one of it's first state occasions will be to welcome the new European President, Tony Blair, to our shores. When this takes place will he (Tony) graciously acknowledge the Queen as joint Head of State, or will our government have no option but to bend the knee to their new Head of State..."Is this where it ends Queenie?"

I take some satisfaction in the attitude of the brother of a KIA in Iraq who totally rebuffed Blair's attempts to shake his hand in the Guildhall after the St. Pauls' service today. I might have spat in his face.

Well, December has come and gone. Blair isn't the European president and the Queen is the Queen as she was before... no panic.
