Although Israel and Eygpt may never be what you consider "friends". Yet we are continually told that Hamas apparently smuggles its guns via tunnels, from Egypt. How long before Israel picks a fight with them?

Guns or butter. Your choice. Your choice? It's the no-brainer choice you are proposing.

The title of the thread is: Obama urges Israel to open Gaza BordersEvery man and his wee dog knows that Obama could make this happen toot sweet if he wanted to. No pleas required by the man who is now in charge of the budget that pays for Israel's very existence. Now that really is a no brainer.

Its all too biblical Anthony, the seven tribes of Israel and all that tosh. Is there no end to your confusion, Cappy, or maybe it's the Glenlivet? It's the twelve tribes of Israel and the seven hills of Rome. Do try to keep up, there's a good lad! ;D

No pleas required by the man who is now in charge of the budget that pays for Israel's very existence. Now that really is a no brainer. Obama ...., in his remarks, signaled strongly that his approach to the Mideast would immediately move from unswerving and unquestioning support of Israel, as seen in the last eight years, to more of a broker's role. While making the requisite commitment to Israel's security-and its right to respond to rocket fire from Gaza-he also said it was unacceptable to permit "a future without hope for the Palestinians." He called for an immediate opening of the Gaza border, which must have come to a surprise to those Israelis lulled to sleep by Bush's permanent endorsement of Israel's every action over the last eight years. www.newsweek.com/id/181038 Israel wanted to do their dirty deeds with impunity while the going was good when Bush was the driver ...and then they got out just as Obama took over......... Says it all really
