Oh here we go. It's the fault of straight white Brits for not being tolerant and welcoming.
Anybody who can seriously type that is clearly announcing that they are a stupid cnut.

As Obama said in his inaugural address
...we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness.
We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, and nonbelievers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth.

Yeah, but he's a politician and they say all kinds of rubbish they don't mean.
I hope Bertrus isn't going to be as gushingly gay about Obama as Omnipresent is about Brown. It's so embarrassing when we get new members coming in for a look.

It's so embarrassing when we get new members coming in for a look. A statement for which the phrase, Pot Calling the Kettle Black, was written if ever there was one!

I am reeeling in shock and awe from Tarrant's devastating putdown. The pot and the kettle move. How could I possibly reply to that lightning thrust? And flourished with an emoticon as well. I'm so outclassed.
Nah, just being sarcastic. You're lamer than a nu labour NHS hip replacement.

Why thank you rick.
But I'm sure new members will be as shocked and embarrassed by some of your posts as they are of bertrus.
But it won't put them off. There's always mine for them to enjoy!!

I just found somebody who believes what a Politician says. As Obama said. Not because Obama said. America's success in accommodating all races, creeds and colours is a lesson for the UK and the slack-bladdered moaners who think there's something wrong if they're not all like 'us'. We can live together.

Obama is just saying it, he doesn't actually believe it. If he doesn't 'actually believe' one of the most conspicuously obvious realities of the country he governs, he would have to be even more of an idiot than the slackest bladddered moaners about immigrants on this forum.

If you want to see a ghetto, just travel to any country the Brits have settled in. South africa, Kenya, Australia, Canada, Spain, etc.
You'll find lots of enclaves eating chips with HP sauce, drinking imported beer, moaning about how good it is 'back home' and complaining about 'the locals'.
It's the same with every immigrant community !

It's the same with every immigrant community ! This could well be true BC, but is it safe for the natives of that country to walk through it in reasonable safety? There are a number of areas here, nobody walks through, not even Police unless they go "Mob handed and "Tooled" up"

44% of UK Muslims want segregation from UK society A shocking 44% think they should be free to develop along separate lines.
WAZWO In short they want to turn parts of The UK into little Islamic States governed by Sharia Law. Nothing new there. If they want segregation give them it let them ude one of our other great freedoms. The Right to leave.

WAZWO Americas melting pot experiment has not been a great success has it African Americans it seems are the only minority. Ask the Mexicans/Latinos if it has worked or if they really have a place or voice in American society or even the indiginous indian Americans.
Sorry you can keep your failed global village ideals the UK needs to start concentrating on its own British Citizens who have been abandoned by our government in favour of minorities for decades now before there is a race war in our country.

The Daily Star as a reputable news source? Hmm.
Anyway I do question why 'muslim areas' are viewed on with such anger yet, Aussie/Jewish/Nigerian/West Indian/Sikh/Chinese/Italian/Greek etc areas are considered a ok. (and I'm not buying the accusation of 'no-go zones' Do these truly exist?).
Additionally such areas sprung up long before the usefull whipping boy of mutli-culturalism was thought of.
As for Bert's post, I must concur with you and Mr Obama. I watched the speech, in New York, maybe one of the prime examples of what Obama was referring to and agreed wholeheartedly. Don't understand why Brits are so much more fearful of 'the other' than Canadians, Americans and pretty much all New Worlders.

If muslims form council after council to whine for stuff and then simply whine for more after brothers in islam have blown up tube trains then you've got to wonder about them. No thought of keeping their heads down and letting things blow over. Straight in demanding that more be done to make muslims feel secure or there might be more of it. Sounds a bit like blackmail. And the government nods and forks it over. Tell me what the average infidel Brit is supposed to think of that.
