An Al Qaeda leader called yesterday for terror attacks on Britain in retaliation for Israel's offensive in Gaza.

Abu Yahya al-Libi urged the terror network's followers to rise up like 'angered lions' and declared: 'It is high time that this criminal country, I mean Britain, paid the price of its history.'

Speaking on a video posted on an Islamist website, the Libyan-born Al Qaeda recruiter continued: 'There is no child who dies in Palestine . . . without this being the outcome of the (country) that handed Palestine to the Jews . . . Britain.'

The rallying call came days after Al Qaeda's leader Osama Bin Laden broke nearly a year of silence to call for attacks against Israel and its supporters.

In the 31-minute video, al-Libi said 'infidel capitals' should be made to experience the same horrors as civilians in Gaza during the three-week Israeli offensive which was halted at the weekend.

'Make them taste the bitterness of war and the tragedies of homelessness and the misery of horror,' he said.

'They should not be secure while our people (Palestinians) are scared,' said al-Libi, who also uses the names Mohammed Hassan Abu Baker and Mohammed Hassan Qayed.
The video was released 24 hours after Pakistan said it had arrested an Al Qaeda suspect with possible links to the 2005 London bombings which killed 52.

Muslim cleric tells Australians: 'Husbands should be allowed to rape and beat their wives'
A Muslim cleric has sparked outrage by telling his followers it is acceptable to rape and beat their wives.

Samir Abu Hamza, who runs an Islamic centre in Melbourne, ridiculed Australian laws banning forced sex within marriage.
Hamza told a male audience in Sydney: 'Amazing, how can a person rape his wife?'
He added that wives must immediately respond to their husbands' sexual demands.
The firebrand preacher also said a man was entitled to use 'limited force' as a last resort to punish a disobedient wife.

His comments on the treatment of women have been condemned by the Islamic Women's Welfare Council of Victoria and Muslim community leaders, including Yasser Soliman.

"To claim this is Islamic, or that the Koran forces wives to do things such as (these) lectures suggest, is quite insulting to most of the Muslim world," Mr Soliman said.

Britain is a multicultural society. By law. This means that the pushiest culture gets it's way. They don't come much pushier than some son of the prophet looking for the best of it in a muslim council.

I blame Jane Fonda. During the Vietnam war she showed that the only thing you have to do to beat a superpower is to fill enough bodybags for the news to show and let some entertainers do the rest. Annie Fcuking Lennox isn't helping.
