Poor kid!! Sometimes life is just too cruel. I also collect postcards, and have a massive amount sent to me from all over the world. I will do this for sure, I plan to visit at least another 4 countries this year so I'll take his details with me, it takes nothing to add his name to my list.

In fact, I am gonna EM this to friends around the world, we'll bring a smile to his face!!

I got your message re: Scouts, what a wonderful idea!!! I replied but am still getting used to these boards so am unsure if you received it, please let me know.

We called in and met Gavin, we gave him a bunch of postcards we had sent/received from from overseas. His eyes lit up when he saw some of the places they were from. I'm sure he'll be even more appreciative to anyone that takes a moment of their time to jot down a greeting from wherever they are on a postcard 'personally' addressed to him.

Cancer is a hideous disease for anyone let alone a young kid, he's spent far too long of his short life in hospital. Hopefully when he starts receiving these it will bring him a little bit of pleasure he surely deserves.

Gavin rang us to say he started to receive postcards from different parts of the world including, England, S.Africa, Singapore, Canada, Nigeria and even one from the Galapagos Islands, he's elated and wishes to thank everyone who has taken the time to do so. It's great to see that people can come together in cases like this to make someone who really needs too, smile.
