On an up note, I did flirt with a pretty girl at the bank and got her number. ;D What`s your flirting technique, NY? I`ve been after a nurse at the local hospital for months now, and it ain`t working No technique, just charm, confidence, eye contact. Wasn't looking to get a number, she started with the flirting, she was cute, so I picked up on it and ran with it. For the nurse, since you've already been trying for months with no progress, means you are telegraphing that you like her, can't do that, projects low value, going to need to fix how she's perceiving you. Okay, to do that, get a attractive girl who is just a friend and a good sport, tell your friend you are trying for the nurse and you'd like her to do a little play acting for you. Show up at the hospital with this girl, who is of course all over you, and your nurse will all of a sudden notice that a. Attractive women find you desirable, and therefore you have value. b. She has competition for your attention, and the other girl is winning that competition! c. You are not worshipping her, which inspite of herself, she will probably find very vexing. When you're there with this other girl, you are the dude, you're Sean Connery - 007, an alpha male. Then with the proper establishment of your value, you can try for that date again shortly after, let it simmer in her head a while. It will either work or not, but it'll be more fun than just asking her out over and over. It's all about the mindset, the mindset that you are the prize, and she's a very lucky girl for meeting you (of course you don't say that, that's just the frame of mind to keep). Not in an arrogant way, in a charming rougish way. It's sexy and fun. But don't get fixated on one girl, line up a bunch of potentials, and go after them all, test drive them, then work your way to the one you find out you'd like to be serious with.

Cheers NY, dude. I think I`ll do the `test drive` option, all the rest of it sounds like hard work! I`ve had a thought; could it be cos I is ginge?
Libby, could be someone you know. Have you any ginge phobiacs amongst your workmates?

I know it is less cold now, but instead of it being freezing it's raw instead with a lazy wind that tries to go through you rather than around you! I found the really dry but freezing temperatures less cold than this grey, damp and windy weather. Mind you, I'm not sorry that I no longer have to defrost the inside of my car .... or keep the can of de-icer in the warm in case it freezes up again. Not to worry, only a few months and the evenings will be lighter and the warmth will return ......... not that I'm expecting anything too spectacular.

Hey Nice, you will always find the odd ginge phobic, but to be honest it's personality that shines through, and who gives a damn about hair colour!
Weather definitely milder, but it's mucky out there, dull and grey! The car didn't need defrosting, but it's filthy black with all the salt on the roads etc. Still feels awful out there to me!
