they wanted the power to be literally in the hands of the people of America, so, if some future government grossly oversteps it's authority, and becomes tryanical and a dictatorship, the ARMED people of America can take the country back and restore the Constitution. While I'm naturally pleased you people are preparing to kill each other before you kill anyone else, you will of course, recall that whenever people in America have attempted armed insurection, the majority have simply sat in their homes, watching it all on TV, while the forces of one of the 40 or so armed agencies of Central government killed every one. It does seem rather ironic that, while you and so many other US psychos claim to support guns in pursuance of the constitution, none of you have the guts to actually do anything about it. Seems the only ones who actually use these weapons, is to kill a bunch of kids in their school. Well, you wouldn't want to risk attacking people who can fight back, do you? Bunch of wet pants tv fanticists. Just wish you have your civil war, all get killed and leave the rest of us in peace.

I don't know what was more whacked out, the fictional history of an armed insurrection while America watched on tv, to the suggestion that every gun owner (90+ million at last count) is a Columbine High School massacre just waiting to happen. tarrant, you have lost the plot.

I'm so pleased we don't have guns that freely here in the UK. Of course there are guns around and gun crimes, but thankfully not on a large scale. I hope that never becomes the case here where householders keep a gun. Scarey thought!

Certainly is.
The way so many Americans can dilude themselves.
Bodies of children, murdered by guns litter the place while the gun supporters talk about a revolution which they probaly wouldn't recognice if it took place on their front lawn

And it's not about revolution, it is about insurance that our Constitution will endure, and that the power to do so is in the hands of the people. We can personally remove any would-be Hitlers or Stalins, could you say as much?

I hope that never becomes the case here where householders keep a gun. Scarey thought! Most households have a car, they all could massacre scores of people with their car, it's tons of machinery that can plow along at massive velocity. Why isn't that scarey? For the same reason I don't find gun ownership scarey, most people are decent and normal. I trust people, not governments. Literal power goes to the people, governments should be beholdent to the people, not the other way around. Everybody has it ass-backwards.

You're protesting to the wrong guy New Yorker.
I think you should all have the latest automatic weapons with a large allocation of bullets.
In fact, I think the federal government should scrap all other welfare spending and buy every American just such a weapon.

Damn jimboky isn't kidding, just for laughs I did a little online window shopping, looking at the M1A and AR10 rifles, kept seeing "Sold Out", "On Back Order". It's spooky. Check it out. www.impactguns.com/store/springfield_m1a.html

Was in the US a couple of years back and stopped off for a piza and a beer and came across a flier for the Machine Gun Safari,, the list of weapons you could get to fire was unreal, included 4 types of belt fed machine guns and 2 types of 50 cals. ofcoarse the Gort had to have some of that and I had a shot of an Ak47 an M16 and an Uzi,,, now I know what its like to fire these weapons it has ruined several moves for me as I now know just how fast you run out of ammo.

Yeah. Jellous rotten that our kids don't get shot to death in school. Sh*t happens, your kids kill themselves on heroin. Hey, just because you're a sandal wearing low testosterone vegan girly-man who is scared of guns doesn't give you the right to sh*t on people that do like guns. You don't see me bothering you when you go to your needlepoint partys. Going out to the shooting range, and blasting through a couple of clips of ammo is good fun. Also, turning a crazed violent crimminal that has broken into your home into swiss cheese is a good thing too. My people! ;D

I've already said that every American should be given the latest automatic weapon and a bucket full of ammo by your government. While you're at it, how abiout a few hand grenades each?

Very nice Rev. But why not just have a machine do it?
Where's the skill in what that guy was using?
No stalking. No chase. No lying in wait. Just pick the creature out with binoculars and shoot it with that telescope.
Perhaps I'm missing the point. But that seems to be like getting some else to do your fighting for you then claiming victory for yourself
