When i read this in the paper i chuckled and chuckled, esp on the outcome.
When i have to write a letter of complaint ( and i still do occ lol) i try not to sound aggressive and bitter but be sarcastic and slightly humourus, it makes the recipient want to read to the end. It works!! and i love it.... tho ive never written a 6 page letter YET! lol

The food on the left looks like Mutta Paneer. The guy was obviously a philistine.

I'll travel Virgin any day, but never mind that - as long as my quoit points toward the centre of the earth, I will never set foot on a Lufthansa flight again! trapped for 11 hours. Appalling food. Staff training straight from the Buchenwald camp instruction manual. Dreadful seats.... But I wont get started.

On his next flight he should take sandwiches and a book. Be interesting to see what would happen if he was confronted with a real problem.

Oh, I dont know Ming, I use Luftwaffe all the time and as long as you don't travel cattle, its a good service. Now if you want to talk about really bad airlines in the western world, (lets not even discuss my travels on TransAirCongo), then look at any of the spam airlines. About the worst I have been on is United, Heathrow to San Francisco, business........
"No sir, I think you have had enough to drink" That was after my first G&T.
....and their staff all stink of pish and twigglets and none of them under 50.
Worst airline evvah
Now as for the complainant in the opening thread my advice would be..........don't travel cattle!

The quote reminded me of our experience, not an airline story, but a cruise ship. At lunch we ordered a bottle of wine, "A whole bottle?" was the initial reply from the waiter.

All US owned airlines are really, really bad. Apart from Continental for some reason. The coffee in cattle class on Northwest is an astonishing creation. It's warm water mixed with a tiny bit of bovril and a tiny bit of cheap instant, as far as I could tell.

Virgin is sh*t. I once got on a plane where my seat was too narrow to actually sit down, told the steward and he just laughed. It was a sort of end of the row with TV, tray, control panel and everything in the arms and I just didn't fit. I could understand this if I was a fat waster but I was playing professional sport at the time.
I wrote to complain and was told that obese passangers should book two seats in advance.
Never flown Virgin again.
Singapore is the best. I fly with them by choice, regardless of price whenever they are an option. They just get customer service.

I flew Business Class across the pond on American Airlines - all the stewardesses looked like has been trannies and they nearly fainted when I asked for another mini bottle of wine to go with my dinner.
