I was a bit caned last night, and got to thinking about how the whole system of fiat money is basically like a big fecking pyramid selling scheme. There's very little intrinsic value in the economy - it's all based on our perceptions, and we'd be spectacularly screwed if something happened to change that - for example a big feck off global financial crisis.
I was caned though. Not exactly a cold rational economic analysis.

Nice to see you acknowledging that the economy has been built on something rather like a pyramid selling scheme anyway

'Of what ?...destruction of the universe ? '
Certainly a drop in living standards, which if you believe some, is tantamount to the same thing as the destruction of the universe.
Will we end up like Zimbabwe? or back to where we were 20,30,50 years ago? How about a Mad Max scenario?

Wake up and smell the coffee. And drink it, now you can still afford it.

Any old scores to settle?
If it does turn all Mad Max there might be some genocidal retribution going on and any psycho attributes can be given full swing (of the spade, into your ex's face, hahahaha wibble!)

Well crime is on the increase. Apparently. I wonder if it isn't really but they've decided to release the real figures while they can blame it on the recession and no nu labour policy of not punishing it. ASBOs, for fcuk's sake. What a bag of dung that idiot idea was.
