I just had a real giggle reading back, you got them going there sweet soul lol! In these times of recession with thousands of jobs going daily in the UK, Brits should get first dibs at job vacancies. As thousands are losing their jobs, there seem to be other companies somehow expanding and creating thousands of jobs! Out of work Brits who have lost their jobs should get first pick of all the job vacancies, simple! Sorry to all immigrants if that sounds harsh, but enough is enough, you've had it cushy for long enough! It's our turn now!

if Brits are being totaly excluded, with no chance of a job , then they have a right to protest They aren't excluded. Total tendered for bids from various companies, and the one that offered the best deal and product turned out to be one that only employs Italians. If someone who employed Brits had offered a competetive bid, I'm sure Total would have taken it. British workers are not excluded. Stop being silly.

I am not convinced that the way to haul Britain out of a recession is to force British companies to accept uncompetitive pricing bids.

So, at this time of recession when companies are having a harder time surviving, you'd like them to be less profitable and less competetive? Also, how exactly have the immigrants had it cushy? By working longer, harder, better and cheaper than British employees? Presumably that's why they have the jobs, you know? What's cushy about that?

I'm in the nursing profession and i assure you, i work my socks off caring for the public. Not all Brits are shirkers and can't cope with having to work hard. Thankfully i only have to work part-time now as my years of endless hours are over.

It all goes Pete Tong when the socialists idiots get involved in the form of stupid union activity. I am not against unions but some of the union tossers I have met see it as a war against management and they run their own little man vendettas....Omni is a perfect example of that kind of fool.

"yea, simply employ British workers instead of cheap labour from abroad!"
They're not doing that though - so how would you make them?

Right, so instead of getting specialist construction firms to bid for the work, they should have gone round the local job centres and got out of work Brits and trained them up for a few years?

And so it begins. Gordo's silly populist comment coming back to haunt him and protectionism heralding the start of some very dangerous times

I'm not sure this is anything to do with Gordo's silly populist comment, really. It would have happened anyway, I'm sure.
