The money paid for outreach groups and studies to find out things that nobody needed to know.

Well there was a war or two declared but to be fair Gordon did try to keep costs down by cheaping out on equipment. Bit of a false economy that. Especially for the families of dead troops. Also saved on a defence minister post by having someone fcuk up the job in his spare time and that demonstrates the socialist attitude to British armed forces.
Then there were NGOs. Politicians know sod all about the real world so they have to pay people to think about it for them. Which is a nice living for so many people that they're not going to short time the job by giving short sensible answers. They're going to spend a long time coming up with controversial dung and get on another NGO set up to investigate the results of the first one. Easy money and lots of it.
And technology. Dazzling stuff. " Computers can do that? Here is money. Let us know if you need any more. "
And donations to Africa. Swiss bankers must love nu labour.
Diversity. Humans are being a bit slow to appreciate the basic truth that everyone is equal. Well, not equal because they're different. But just as good. And everyone has to go on an expensive course to understand this obvious basic truth that is so basically obvious that it's a wonder that they don't already know it. But whether they know it or not there will laws passed to enforce it. Tolerance and understanding. And if those straight white bastards don't get it then they will be punished.
Public services. They needed more money. So nu labour gave them more money. And to make sure it was spent in the right way they created more managers to oversee it. And they created more managers. And sent everyone on diversity courses. This meant that there had to be more managers for when managers were off on courses. And every manager needed an office, furniture to go in it, IT technology to run his department, a parking space, a pension plan and a secretary. Sadly, there wasn't enough left to employ anybody to do the actual work of the actual public service so they needed more money. Which needed more managing.
The EU. Time to give up the rebate. Paid off the war debt to America so nu labour felt like splurging a bit and Mandelson needed a job somewhere for a while.
Human rights. Everyone is born with inalienable rights. Damn handy for suing the police force, the prisons, the government, local councils, hospitals, etc. Bit pricey but part of the basic truth thing and stuff. Lawyers don't work cheap.
Immigration. Wonderful benefits. Costs the taxpayer a bit in stretching public services, printing everything out in a hundred languages. Need more interpreters. Need to give legal aid to asylum seekers who shouldn't be here but don't want to go home and lawyers are prepared to argue forever as long as they get paid for it. Anybody who can't see that is a right wing racist bastard.
John Prescott. We had to feed the fat bastard. Several times over because he was bulimic. He should have recycled with just a spoon and saved a fortune.
The list is endless. All wasted. Frittered away down the Brown Hole which is like a black hole but you don't need a Hadron collider and you get less back out of it.

The money never did exsist , the debt exsists Exactly. The "Black hole" exists, not because the money has disappeared, but cos it never existed in the first place. International banking It's all done with smoke and mirrors, no you see it now you don't. Paul Daniels, eat your heart out.
